When thinking about creating a sense of community for the blog entry, I soon discovered that is a more challenging then I intended. To me, a community does not consist of my peers, friends or family members who tends to read and comment on my past entries. However, at this point, they are all I have. I work hard on these type of projects for them, not anyone else. My second thought would be gearing the postings and articles to the people I don't know. That being said, focusing in on what I believe will draw attention to my little community is just acknowledging what I love right now, the experiences I have possessed over the past 4 years and my aspirations in post graduation.
Two days ago, I officially bit the bullet and splurged on some spring break related fashion items for an upcoming vacation to the ever so basic Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My tendencies to only buy online and never set foot in a store has steepened since my body has been going through changes that I am not entirely a fan of. That being said, I did scroll through hundred of reviews, pictures and advice from friends to help decide on what they think would look best for my body shape. Am I happy with the purchase? I cannot say. Fast-Fashions doesn't always mean next day delivery.
Going off of the topic of Fast-Fashion companies and ever so frightening Coronavirus, I have seen and heard of multiple people talking about catching the disease from companies like Shein, Romwe and Zaful. I even saw a snapchat story of a girl spraying Fabeze all over her shipment of swimsuits from Shein, which is located in China. To say the an over reaction would be easy, but if you did not know any better or had any idea what the disease consist of. But, after doing some research, this disease is drastically affecting the fashion industry as we speak. Below, are just some of the articles I have found super interesting and provide useful and actual knowledge of what is going on with the disease that no one can stop talking about:
The effects of this disease is more than just causing a world wide panic, it also is affecting the livelihood of many fast fashion companies, and even popular retailers like H&M and ZARA. The next couple months is going to provide an even deeper insight on how this is going to affect me and my decisions when looking for a full-time job post graduation.
